Either that or allow placement over identical structures, so that if a belt is already there, it is ignored and connected to the new build as long as you have at least 1 tile overlap. But that is probably already planned.
As a workaround, I find it easier to delete the belts after tiled placement and drag a completely new belt instead. Tried copying inserters without belts, but they are sometimes not placed correctly.
I would also like to see something like an "ignore already matching buildings' type thing like if you get erase half a blueprint you can come back later and paste the same blueprint over the existing structures and it would ignore what is already built.
Especially helpful when there are one or 2 pesky items already placed that as is currently the case means I have to place the entire blueprint somewhere else, alter the newly placed blueprint slightly to fit, create a new blueprint and then delete the unwanted structures all so that I don't have to delete or move other already placed items.
When attempting to use MultiBuildBeta to create a large build out of tiles, I find myself having to connect the belts between the placed sections of each tiled build.
My thought is that instead, I could place the belts I need for the full build first, and then place as many copies of the build as I need over the already placed belts.
To make this easier, it would be nice if there was an option to ignore belts when selecting items for a blueprint.
