Galarian Slowbro can mega evolve outside of battle using b+g, but while in battle there is no mega evolution button. (I'm not certain if showdown is used as reference, but Galar Slowbro can mega evolve in battle on showdown)
Test the mega evolution out of battle and then test it in battle with a slowbronite on, The Mega evolution button will not be visible.
