Another suggestion.
The weather should affect spawning, evolving, and the battle. If it’s raining, water and bug types should be more common. If you initiate a battle it should have the rain condition active.
You could have certain pseudo/legendaries only spawn under these conditions. Maybe have some evolve under these conditions as well.
If it’s a lightning storm Pokemon that evolves in an electric field can evolve.
I was also thinking about having a calendar or just clicking a TV could display weather conditions. It may not be always, but when it’s sunny out it has a chance to say, “The sun is beaming today!” The harsh sunlight effect should be active in battle and should spawn more fire types (depending on the area). When you’re in a cold environment and it’s snowing it has a chance to say, “It’s hailing outside!”
