To load the epg correctly we already support various ways. The suggested way to load the epg without a reboot is use the crossepg patch v2.1. In the past this patch was proposed to dmm and ignored by them and they never added a reliable way to load correctly the epg. I'm also not anymore interested to spend time to support dmm images (they are closed source now). There are a lot of images still open source today and crossepg should be compatible with all of them. In addiction to that the proposed patch is a closed source application (or at least this is the precompiled version). Not really useful in this context. Maybe, if the original author of epgloader, is interesed to patch crossepg he's welcome.
