Update data contact info #3

Due to the listserv changes at LLNL, the data contact address needs to be changed from: E3SM-DATA-SUPPORT@LISTSERV.LLNL.GOV to E3SM-DATA-SUPPORT@LLNL.GOV

what will happen to mail sent to the old address?

Right now emailing to @listserv.llnl.gov are mostly retained. My understanding is the support will finally phase out, there is not a date though. My plan is to update the contact info for every files in this repo, so that newly generated data will have new address in the medadata. But it will require some work if to update those in all published files.

But what about the old data? Will emails bounce or be forwarded?

They need to forward E3SM-DATA-SUPPORT@LISTSERV.LLNL.GOV to E3SM-DATA-SUPPORT@LLNL.GOV forever.

I'm emailing LivIT to find out.

...the @listserv.llnl.gov domain is also in v2 data global attributes. Renata @mccoy20 and I will meet with LivIT next week to discuss impact of this change to us. I will update here.

Discussed with LivIT the impact of this change, and submitted a request to keep the forwarding service. It is recommended to drop using LISTSERV in domain name in any case.
