if 3 issues aren't resolved before e3sm-unified 1.2.4, see https://github.com/MPAS-Dev/MPAS-Analysis/issues/476

The MPAS-Analysis conda recipe includes restrictions to avoid this issue so e3sm-unified doesn't need to address it.
