This is with e3sm_diags 2.1.1

I will deploy this minor update once https://github.com/E3SM-Project/e3sm_diags/pull/321 is merged and a new release has been uploaded to the e3sm channel.

I won't merge this until I get the go-ahead from @golaz, @darincomeau and @vanroekel that whatever testing they do worked out okay. But I don't think they need to approve this PR or anything.
