list of results should be organized by relevance and ordering should be modifiable
This is a new requirement. What is "relevance"?
If I search for a word and I am returned a list of results I expect to be able to sort them at least. e.g. searching Τυχη I get 56 results which are in an apparently casual order. I need to be able to organize them (not just filter them) , e.g. according to datasource, or provenance, or date

As I said we never talked about this. In order to implement this we need a clear specification. I guess we need to involve at least Francesco here...
This is a complicated subject! I don't know what sorting we could implement. The easiest one (and the most sensible) seems to be one that goes with CP. Roughly (very roughly, I know) this would also correspond to a sort of geographic sorting. In any case, we provide a lot of filtering options, and I think that this should be enough...
results are not always ordered. on a generic search for basileus where everything is returned (wrongly) results start from EPNet
