Code to plot CLM data

The data package up on the LTER data portal has some messy scripts, but they use the deprecated ncdf library. Example here used syntax for updated ncdf4.

@w-reed this example is for soil temperature, but should be simple enough to modify for moisture. The easiest variable to plot up is SOILWATER_10CM, because it's just that and comparable to the surface data from sensor network, but this also includes ice. Maybe better would be any of the following, which are all vertically resolved:

• SOILLIQ, which is just the liquid component and in the same units (kg/m2);

• SOILPSI soil water potential (MPa); or

• H2OSOI volumetric soil water (mm3/mm3).
