I think a more informative parent term is 'response to antineoplastic agent' instead of 'response to vaccine'. Mycobacterium Bovis BCG is an intravesical immunotherapy for bladder cancer. (Another type of intravesical therapy for bladder cancer is chemotherapy with drugs). https://www.cancer.org/cancer/bladder-cancer/treating/intravesical-therapy.html#:~:text=Bacillus%20Calmette%2DGuerin%20or%20BCG,t%20usually%20cause%20serious%20disease. see text therein: "Bacillus Calmette-Guerin or BCG is the most common intravesical immunotherapy for treating early-stage bladder cancer." On the other hand BCG is a also considered a vaccine (used also for tuberculosis) see NCIT http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/NCIT_C298.
In EFO under parent term 'response to antineoplastic agent' we have the child 'response to immunochemotherapy' which refers to immunotherapy and chemotherapy combination treatment so perhaps we need to add a class 'response to immunotherapy' with optionally a child term 'response to vaccine immunotherapy' that BCG could be a Subclass Of.
I would suggest to add parent term 'response to antineoplastic agent' and open a linked follow-up ticket with suggestions for improving this.
@Santhi1901 @zoependlington Added new term ‘response to BCG intravesical immunotherapy’’ EFO_0011041 ('response to mycobacterium Bovis BCG' added as a synonym term) under parent term ‘response to antineoplastic agent’ GO_0097327 This term will be available in the next release. A follow-up ticket has been opened with suggestions to re-structure the 'response to antineoplastic agent' branch https://github.com/EBISPOT/efo/issues/1099
