Poisson solver #292

Hi All,

It looks like WarpX is coming along nicely! Congrats.

I was wondering if there were any plans to implement a Poisson solver (and 'complicated' boundary conditions from e.g. geometry data or even just cylindrical pipes)? This would enable many applications outside of plasma physics I would imagine...like high intensity ion beams ;)

Hi Daniel,

Has a matter of fact, yes, this is being planned. We do not have a fixed schedule yet but are planning to start working on it very soon.

Note that, although it will also be built around AMReX, it may be distributed as a code that is distinct from WarpX, albeit the two will probably share some modules (probably via PICSAR).
