Velocity formulation #6

The intention of this branch was to try to reproduce the velocity formulation and find the issue with it. The issue seemed to be with the node velocity update needing to be computed using the updated particle velocities. Because of this, this formulation has more than two main functions but is still a simpler implementation than before.
