shuffle playlist #179

I am able to get MPlayer CE to play music from a playlist file fine, but I
would love to be able to have it play in random order. MPlayer should just
need a -shuffle option, but is it possible pass this option to MPlayer CE?
If not, I'd like to request this feature.

Put

 shuffle=1

in your mplayer.conf.  You can probably hack menu.conf to make it togglable - I 
will
have a look in a bit anyway.

Sorry, putting shuffle=1 into mplayer.conf doesn't have any effect (nor does
shuffle=yes). I also tried many variations of putting shuffle into menu.conf, 
but
nothing made any difference. Obviously I am not smart enough to hack menu.conf 
to do
my bidding.
  Having a menu item to toggle shuffle would be great. Another useful feature would
be to be able to write menu entries so that specific entries have specific 
shuffle
settings. For example, I use some playlists for my wifes pilates videos and 
those
need to be in a specific order, but I would prefer my music playlist to be 
shuffled
by default.
   Depending on how the program works, an easy way to implement shuffle toggling
might be to have a button to press while in the "Current playlist..." submenu.

thought.

I think this needs to have more attention brought to it, since this feature is 
STILL
missing... really now, it's one of the most standard media features.

When is this issue finally been resolved? Their still isn't a shuffle option 
available!
