Inconsistent playback of FLV streams V0.5 #220

The German TV station ARD make their news reel, the Tagesschau, available 
as a Flash video on a showly basis.  Some of them play just fine, others 
will not.  Here is an example of one that will not play properly on 
MPlayerCE V0.5:

If you read this message within 5 days of 21 May, you should still be able 
to retrieve it.  I get garbled sound and the occasional picture.  Is it 
just me?

Other shows play without a hitch.  I would be grateful for any suggestions 
on how I might improve playback.

I reported a diagonal line problem with flv as bug 110.  However, the problems 
I get
vary from file to file.  The example in bug 110 is actually worse than I 
described;
it's badly garbled.  Some other flv files do just produce diagonal color lines. 
 Some
don't play or lock up.  I have one that repeatably stops in the middle of 
caching.  I
suspect it's all the same problem, and that this is the same problem too.
