Bad swedish subtitle support

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Playing a movie with a subtitle.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Instead of ÄÖäö I see AOao

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.5, 0.4, 0.3

This is of course only a workaround the problem.
The problem lies within the interpretation of UTF8 encoded files.

Maybe a on-the-fly convertion(cmon, I'm tired, give me a break) or maybe a 
couple of
extra loops and decisions that would check the file for any special symbols, 
and if
detected, enable UTF8 support temporarily would be a solution, but hell what do 
I know.

Also: Filenames containing international letters aren't showing up correct in 
version
0.75. They show up as underscores instead of the right letters.

Instead add utf8=yes 
try

subcp=ISO-8859-1

and remove or comment utf8=yes 

Not sure if swedish use ISO-8859-1 codepage, maybe you have to change it
If you use  utf8=yes then you need to convert your subs file to utf8
