Limited DVD playback #57

First, this product looks great and generally functions well. however there
seems to be a problem with certain pressed (as opposed to copied) DVDs (For
example The Great Debaters) see below.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. From open-->DVD Video I am given the option play; DVD, Chapter, title
1-5 and DVD (libdvdnav).
   Although these files play correctly, they are not the movie, they are
adverts etc. (e.g. play DVD (libdvdnav)--is an ad for the Lexus es 350).
   The chapter menu does nothing.
   I got another pressed DVD to work out of title 2. therefore I assume the
actual movie is a different tile (e.g. a title greater than 5)

2. From the open menu-->file-->wii DVD-->Video_TS
   When I click on the VOB files (which I understand to be the video
   files) I get audio but not video playback

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Best would be to have the proper DVD menu (I am sure this is being worked
on), but second best would be to play all titles on the DVD, not just 5,
and perhaps next to the file something indicating the size of the
file/length of the video, thereby giving the user some indication which one
is the actual movie.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am us 0.21e, on a ver 3.2U wii.

Please provide any additional information below.
I don't know that much this program or how DVDs function, please let me
know if any clarification is needed.

Okay, I know that what i'm going to say may appear a little bit "obviuos" but
you can
edit menu.conf and add these lines:

      <e name="Play Title #6" ok="loadfile dvd://6"/>
      <e name="Play Title #7" ok="loadfile dvd://7"/>
      <e name="Play Title #8" ok="loadfile dvd://8"/>
      <e name="Play Title #9" ok="loadfile dvd://9"/>
      <e name="Play Title #10" ok="loadfile dvd://10"/>

before this line:

      <e name="Play DVD (libdvdnav)" ok="loadfile dvdnav://"/>

At least this will solve the problem until libdvdnav will work or a similar way
of
play dvd (read: DVD Menu) is implemented in MPLayer.
Hoping this help

Was this issue ever solved? I still don't know how to access the second part of
a dvd
that has two parts to it. I can't access or control the built in dvd menu so I
can't
seem to access the other parts of the disc.

Try a 0.76 beta, I think I've fixed dvdnav

Actually, if snapshots were made availible on a(n) (ir)regular basis, it would
be a
lot easier to give feedback on specific issues.
