What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. when playing a video, i can get to certain points and have them fail. i
have only experienced this with full length XVid encoded videos.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
playback just stops, and im back on the menu...

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Mplayer CE 0.3, Wii 3.2U

Please provide any additional information below.

this has happened a few times when playing movies (avi format xvid encoded)
that were burned into the root directory of a dvd disc.

I also have this issue, same version, same wii system version as well (actually,
exactly the same on all points) xvid video, playback stops in the middle of an
avi,
just throws me right back to the menu, movies burned to the dvd-r discs root.

I had the same issue with playing an .avi-file from my USB HDD. Movie stopped
and I
ended up in the menu, which was 'frozen'.

bitrate: 128 kbps
Framerate: 25 frames/sec
Data rate: 1351 kbps
Video Sampe Size: 12bit
Video Compression: XVID

And another movie freezes after 5 minutes.
I am using v0.76
Properties of the avi-file:
wxh: 720x576
Duration: 1:00:00
Bit Rate 128 kbps
Audio format: Lame MP3
Framerate 25
Datarate 1309 kbps
Vudei sample size: 24 bit
Video Compression: DIVX

Extra info: It is easy to check if the file will stop prematurely. After you
have
started the video, check if you can fast forward or rewind it. If NOT, then the
file
will stop prematurely.

(Issue 248 seems to be the same)
