Crash on Startup with OpsY's RPG-Beta 7 #62

NOTE: PROVIDE AS MANY DETAILS AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE. We can't read your mind
or your computer's.

What did the Exception Report say (if this was on Windows)? Include Fault
Executable Name and Offset.
See attached .dmp file.

What steps will reproduce the problem? If this happened in a command line
program, GIVE US THE COMMAND LINE ARGUMENTS YOU USED!
1. Install Halo CE 1.09 with the Open Sauce, version 3.1.0 or higher
2. Install OpsY's RPG Beta 7 map
3. Start up Halo CE (-window -console)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: Halo CE starts up, and allows me to access the menu.
Actual: Halo CE crashes when the menu shows up, and the attached dumplog is
created.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Halo Custom Edition v1.09 with OpenSauce 3.1.0.x (most stable build as of
December 25, 2012) on Windows Vista SP2 64bit

Please provide any additional information below.
CE used to run with OS without any problems, but the RPG Beta 7 install clearly
caused this to happen. Problem did NOT occur once I removed dinput8.dll and
dinput8.pdb from the HCE root.
After talking to users with the older (v3.0) OS users, it seems like this
problem is isolated to the new version.
OpsY specifically designed this map to NOT use OS features, so I'm not exactly
sure if OS or the map is the real cause...

How could this be fixed? It'd be great if y'all can help me iron this out,
especially before 3.1 goes public. Thank you!

PS: Kornman etc., just for the records, Masterz1337 gave me the new version to
troubleshoot an earlier problem that I had. Don't worry -I didn't get a leaked
version, nor do I have any intention of leaking it myself.

huh, I did not "design" beta7 not to work with OS. I just don't use OS yet.

1. The build you received from masters was meant only for CMT testers, as we
can do controlled testing and easier troubleshooting with a small group like
them. Masters didn't have the right to blindly give it out.
2. We've made multiple new builds since the end of Dec
3. FS said he didn't encounter any crashes with our most recent build.
4. The issue system is only for official releases. Which wouldn't need
mentioning if we didn't have people giving out WIP builds

I told you in your halomaps thread from a few weeks back that any issues should
be posted here. Don't rely on non-OS developers to try and 'troubleshoot'
problems you encounter. This is for both our benefits.

Don't take this reply as being talked down to or the like; only stating the
facts. If you encounter any bugs in the upcoming release, please feel free to
report them here. For the time being though, please uninstall the beta build of
3.1 that you have to avoid any possible incompatibilities that could be created
due to changing code and data from beta to release.

Alright. As long as this isn't an issue for newer builds, I'm perfectly fine.

Sorry about the extra input(?) and the unauthorized install. I'll get to
uninstalling Masters' build right away.
Thank you for your reply!
