I lose the sidebar when not logged in as the admin #29

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Visit site as a guest

What version of the ... are you using?
1. Wordpress: 2.8.6 (Latest version)
2. Constructor: 0.6.5
3. Browser: Safari 4 and Firefox 3.5.5
4. OS: Mac OS X 10.6.2 (Updated to latest patches)

What URL of your blog(s)?
1. This is local testing using MAMP

Please provide any additional information below.

This occurs on all of themes available with the 0.6.5 download. When I am
logged in as the
admin of the site, all of the pages view okay, with the sidebar either on the
left or right side.
As soon as I log out and try to view the site, the sidebars get pushed off the
viewing area,
except for the blog page. The Blog page always shows the sidebar in the correct
position.

I have this set up more as a CMS than as a pure blog site. In the Reading
Settings I have
selected a Static Page. The Front Page point to Home and the Posts Page point
to Blog. I have
four custom pages plus the Blog page, and they all work fine with other
templates that I have
been working with.

Additional Info on this. I fixed the problem, but not sure which step it was,
since that was not the focus of
what I was doing. I added widgets to the sidebar using the Appearance Widgets
admin section. I also changed
from a default view to a list view on for Homepage in the Customize Theme
Layout section. It's late - I'll work
on this tomorrow and see if I can narrow this down - if the problem hasn't been
solved by then.

I have the same problem. I also noticed that if you disable comments for
particular
page it looks fine (with sidebar), but if comments are enabled that the side
bar is
off the screen (left side). Tested on WinXP with IE7 and FF3.5.5

It looks like the updated version 0.6.7 has fixed the problem, at least with a
cursory run through, at least on a
Mac with Safari and Firefox. Time to give this theme another chance!

Unfortunately I can't. It's an intranet site.
