Please verify that EDDI is not running as a minimized window. ;-)

EDDI logs are located at %appdata%/EDDI. If those logs record any exceptions then those logs may also help us to diagnose this issue.

It's running as a minimized window but it doesn't maximize ^^'

Very odd. I can't see anything out of place in the log. On first run, it should open in the middle of your primary screen.

Tried it multiple times without secondary screens. The app is running and the preview from the icon appears as an empty window when minimized and as a black background when maximized. But again, nothing comes up when I click it.

there's any file I could edit instead of using the UI?

Configuration files are stored at %appdata%/EDDI. You can try clearing those, though I'm not sure how any of the configuration settings there would lead to the symptoms that you are describing.

No luck with clearing those files. I reinstalled multiple times getting the same behaviour. I just hoped I could edit configuration without an UI. First thing I wanted to do is lower the volume.

That much is certainly possible. Edit volume in speech.json at %appdata%/EDDI.
