ROS2 migration #11

Hey, are there any plans to migrate this plugin to ROS2? I am planning to upgrade to Ubuntu 22.04 and ROS2 but really need this plugin for my project. Is there an easy way to take this plugin with me? Cheers

Hi, There are certainly ambitions to port this to ROS2 and the newer Gazebo Sim. However, there currently isn't a timeline for this.

Do you have details about the end date of your project? There may be scope for us to support a transition over to ROS2.

Hey, thanks for the reply.

The migration is already happening. The sooner I get this sim running the better, since doing any radiation test in real life is very expensive and time consuming.

If I can contribute/support, just let me know.
