Always allow tracking service or not? - Offer alternative: Temporarily allow #811

When you e.g. use Disqus you at some point get the question (simplified, screenshot below):

Do you want to allow Disqus? [Always allow] [Always block]

pbdisqus

Firefox 49.0.1 Linux x64

However I might not want to add both things. Why can't I just allow it for this time (when I am commenting) and disable it all other times? A one-click activate mechanism similar to the one used for social media buttons, would maybe be nice here. However it no case it should block the comments view.

And what behavior will PrivacyBadger adopt? Block or allow Disqus?

cooperq commented 8 years ago

The plan is to remove this feature and replace it with a click to play widget, such as how social widgets currently get replaced, or soundcloud. This would allow the user to temporarily load disqus when they wish.
