Can i control four wheels with two boards with one arduino hardware serial port, connected with parallel?

I have tested so in the bench, works just fine.

tx works but rx not it would be great if gen1 can keep up with the rest of the world and use the remote uartbus protocol which allow 128 board to be controlled with same 2 wires
