New stable tag #491

The latest stable tag is v2.3 from March 2019.

Many fixes and improvements have been applied since then.

Is there a plan to release a new stable tag soon? (v2.4)

Usually I did that after visiting PlugFest, but due to Corona I couldnt attend, in the last years I didnt had enough time.

Another issue right now is, that the current version isn't up-to-date with the latest specification, and I am currently not sure about the current timeline.
