Problem Testings Coalesce #82

Small problem during build, namely the attached error after running

make all tests

There may be a problem trying to set b equal to something in a test (/examples/utilities/coalesce.c)? I don't know why this would be, but if I don't ever use b, as in the following, the error is not raised
