I got one mini itx board having the "famous" GMA3600 gpu that usually is equally supported by the same kernel module gma500_gfx into latest ubuntu distributions and always wanted to have a full 2D/OpenGL and video decoding installation with some modern linux version but I thought that I had to use very old kernel that might not be the best for a modern main light office machine.
Instead I notice that these are still supported and I might try to install these and my goal would be something like using LXDE with the 18.04.x ubuntu version. I suppose few people still use these igpu and I'm one of them and have quite some experience into Win with it to know it could easily run old games.
Which is the best actual configuration to set and supported kernel in the latest driver version? For the people that got everything working well included video decoding, how is their experience with Wine for very old games like Directx6 ones like games, did they work? And is it supported only i386 installation or also x64?
Thank
