Hi everyone! I complete the user authentication system for the project, adding the ability to sign up, log in, and log out.
Changes Made:
Sign Up: Added /signup route in Flask. The backend handles user account creation and stores user data securely.
Login: Implemented login functionality via the /login route. This includes session management to remember logged-in users.
Logout: Created a /logout route that clears the user's session and redirects to the homepage.
HTML Updates: Added base.html as a template for extends by other pages, updated login.html, signup.html and profile.html to enhance user interaction and form submission process.
Database updates: · Added LoginForm and SignupForm in forms.py for validation and check for user data. · Updated the User class to handle password hashing and verification using in models.py · Applied new migrations to update the database schema
Testing: Conducted thorough tests to ensure that all new functionalities work as expected without disrupting existing features.
Update README.md: I add Prerequisites and Installation part in README.md to guide running this project, please feel free to adjust or add more details about it.
