Not getting USB Serial number when the connection type is USB #9

When I run discovery for Epson printer, for Connection type USB I am not getting the USB serial number as mentioned by the document. I am getting the USB node as follow

"target":"USB:/dev/bus/usb/002/014"

Instead of the node, I need a USB serial number.
