Josh, we have looked over the documentation, and we want to have a more standardized approach to Local Programme IDs. Here is our proposal. Any report record can include a single local programme identifier for each programme. An optional resource/source may also be provided with the Local Programme ID.
We WILL NOT use the Programme IDs to make any data transformations or linkages. BUT, we will allow them to be searched through both the public UI and the admin interface. In the Admin UI they will be included as part of the "institution:programme" search on the various report menus.
For submission, we need to clearly formulate and create correct validation for the API and CSV. I will do the CSV, but the validation and JSON are for you. For the manual submission, we need to add the Local Programme ID and Local Programme ID Source fields to the pop-up menu. The ID can also be included in the concatenated string on the main form. (lucky, lucky you!)
We HAVE checked and some agencies are using them, so we decided to support at least access through these numbers and the creation and edition of this data.
