Create Accurate Aircraft Model #12

Description

Overview

This should have been done in #10 - unfortunately that open source plane model will not be sufficient enough to accurately simulate our mission. The approach is to create separate CAD models for the fuselage and control surfaces. Since this model will need to be able to interact with the px4 flight stack, it will need to be converted into an SDF (simulation definition format) file. Take a look at the related documents/links section for more.

Goal/Purpose

The goal is to have a completely accurate model ready for use within gazebo.

User Story

As a developer, I want an accurate plane model, so that I can correctly debug and test px4 commands for flight.

Acceptance Criteria

  1. The model is based off of the Mini Mugin 2600mm Carbon Fiber H-tail UAV Platform
  2. The model is converted into SDF format
  3. The px4 flight stack is able to interact with the control surfaces

Outsourced this task to someone experienced with CAD - expecting the model by March 1st
