Installed on 10.6.8, Cannot Uninstall #49

Help!

I've installed this on my MacBook Pro under 10.6.8. Have tried installing
1.2.1, 1.3.0, and 1.3.1, and all are causing issues with other programs on my
system. I really want to uninstall this, but when I run the uninstaller, it
will ask for a password, and when I enter it, it says it is not the password.
But it is! Help, I am quite desperate to get my computer working again. :(

Thanks!

R~

Should note this happens on all versions of the uninstaller, 1.2.1, 1.30., and
1.3.1.

Hello R~,

I regret that you are having some problems while uninstalling the NoSleep. Have
you already solved the password issue?

Actually, there is no magic in the uninstall script, it just deletes specific
files and terminates a helper application. The script should have
administrative privileges, so it uses "sudo" command inside. You can try the
command by yourself: start Terminal.app and exec "sudo id", it will ask you for
a password. This is a password for the current user, type it manually using
keyboard and don't pay attention that you don't see any input feedback. As the
"sudo id" and uninstaller script use the same previleges rising mechanism the
password for the system command "sudo" should match to the script.

Take a look at KB http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4103

Make a screenshot of the window which says that "it is not the password".

Thanks,
--Pavel.

Ah, didn't know that sudo didn't work with a blank password! Thank you, this
is perfect and it uninstalled fine. My system is a bit old and crusty, so
maybe that has something to do with the issues I am seeing with NoSleep as
well, will likely revisit it when I get something newer.

Thanks again for your help!
