From Jim Edwards: for extending the SST records during the run: I think that you can set taxmode = extend for that field in the user_nl_docn_streams file.
You would do that with this format: prescribed:taxmode = extend
Also, default h0 output needs to include all chemical tracers, SF* for all species with emissions, other usual chemistry diagnostics (dry dep, wet dep) -- currently (cam6_3_100) they are missing.

Maybe, after all, you just add the fincl list we have in the standard CAMchem/WACCM output and not add SF* and deposition for all, for example also not all tracers have wet deposition.

This looks like the right list, but maybe we should leave out the DTWR* 3D washout rates, since we have the integrated column totals WD* fields? And leave users who really want to look at the 3D washout rates save them manually. I will run a test now (case: f.e22.FCnudged.f09.updates.01).
Since we are thinking about output, could we add the OASISS ocean flux emissions to the corresponding SF* output? It looks like this could be done in ./chemistry/mozart/ocean_emis.F90. Thanks!
I agree to leave out the DTWT* fields. Also ,regarding AOD fields, we only have AODDUST1 and AODDUST3, maybe we should do instead AOD from the combined fields: AODDUST, AODSOA, AODBC etc. Nobody looks as a default at the dust components separately. Are the other radiative variables (FLNT etc) being automatically added when we do history_amwg?
From Jim Edwards: for extending the SST records during the run: I think that you can set taxmode = extend for that field in the user_nl_docn_streams file.
You would do that with this format: prescribed:taxmode = extend
The of the prescribed:taxmode = extend
option results in the last month of the SST file being used when running beyond the end of the SST data, rather than cycling over the last year of the SSTs. I don't think this is what you want.
