Please create a new tag with this PR and add it to the cesm plans page.

Hi Jim, I combined this code change with other updates to cism-wrapper and they are all included in this PR: https://github.com/ESCOMP/CISM-wrapper/pull/81 Which is now a tag and included in the cesm plans page. I'm going to close this PR, but let me know if you don't feel your request has been addressed.
