Is esgf_wget/templates/wget-template.sh in this repository the "upstream" of the WGET Scripts that one finds at the WCRP CMIP6 portal?

If so, I could make improvements (e.g. portability) of the wget template by a pull request.

Hello @mvhulten , this is a replacement for the current API that generates the script and is a work in progress. So what you see here doesn't reflect what you might use to acquire data today. Once we have a production-deployed instance I think we will be in a better position to consider community PRs. Thank you for your interest!
