What data set/data product should we start working with and how do you access it?

Example: ISCN3 is available as a set of Excel tables from here ftp://ftp.fluxdata.org/.deba/ISCN/ALL-DATA with additional documentation linked from https://iscn.fluxdata.org/. There are also R scripts to access ISCN3 here: https://github.com/ISCN/SOCDRaHR2/blob/master/R/ISCN3.R

Not quite a data set but AGMIP has an annotation project ARDN that is implemented (somewhat) on USDA repos.

The datasets for the French Soil Information System are progressively put on the dataverse of INRAE in the dataverse Gissol available here : https://data.inrae.fr/dataverse/gissol There are mainly csv files or links to WMS files on our spatial data infrastructure. But some files could be access files or shapefiles. Unfortunately, there is no direct access to the whole database. But the database dictionary is available here: (in French) https://www.gissol.fr/publications/dictionnaire-de-donnees-donesol-3408
