Windows Updates pushing down VMware driver, images non-bootable after

Describe the bug Running into issue with Microsoft Windows Updates pushing down VMware driver updates that render R/W images non-bootable. Found in CTP Slack Channel from Joe Shonk

Additional context Possible solution (answer from Guy Leech) I've suffered this. Been working on a script that changes the NIC to Intel so you can run updates and then switch back to vmxnet3

This workaround to move to Intel doesn't work on UEFI.

@thomaskrampe you should disable driver update for Windows Update, you can do this by GPO or registry:

GPO method:

• Op Group Policy Management Console
• Browse the following path: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Update
• On the right side, double-click the Do not include drivers with Windows Update policy.
• Select the Enabled option.
• Click Apply
• Click OK.

Registry method:

• Use the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut to open the Run command.
• Type regedit, and click OK to open the Registry.
• Browse the following path:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows
• Right-click the Windows (folder) key, select New, and click on Key
• Name the key WindowsUpdate (if it doesn't exist) and press Enter.
• Right-click the newly created key, select New, and click on DWORD (32-bit) Value.
• ExcludeWUDriversInQualityUpdate (if it doesn't exist) with the value of decimal 0 and press Enter.
