Easy-mod on current Linear Rail version of RatRig printer #2

Is actual Easy-Mod valid on current model of Rat Rig V-core Pro printer? I built latest Rat Rig V-Core Pro and I would like adapt EVA platform, but XY joiners from Easy-Mod are fitted to rail under frame (current V-Core Pro has rails (+XY motors) on frame) nad also you need shorter Z rail. Do you plan to adjust Easy-mod to current mount of X rail to Y rail (mount on top of XY joiner)?

It is designed for the pro but to mount it you need 2x Y 2020 mounted below the rails and shorter 2020 for Z rails, picture of my V-core Pro for reference.

Thank you for your quick answer. Is there any advantage (somehow which I can't see) in compare with original mounting where Y rail is on top of 2040 frame? IMG_2889

I would have to agree on using a top mounted adapter for this mod to mount the linear rails on top there are also other benefits like the rails will run smoother mounted on the top on top, making an enclosure is simpler and would make this a true easy mod. I know i would start using it if it was designed that way.

my current build state.

The main issue with a top mount is that there is no way to reuse the XY plates. You can't (with ease) just flip it around as the plate to joiner M5 screws would interfere with the MGN rail. One would need to use plastic where the plates now are - which is fine but would probably a different mod/project. I there's too much going around EVA right now for me to tackle this.

Also radial and reverse radial load ratings are the same for an MGN rail - gothic arch contact design. Those can differ on rails for special/other applications but MGN standard has gothic arch.

I wouldn't mind fabricating a replacement bracket out of metal after the plastic concept has been proved. I agree on the concept of the rails i just find they run smoother while loaded however I haven't really ran them upside down for a long period.

you could always try flipping the easy mod XY gantry upside down and placing a shorter MGN rail on top - that should work even if only as a proof of concept.
