Get Characters Error 203 (Authentication failure.) #123

TEA Version?
TEA 1.2.1

SMF Version?
SMF 2.0.6

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.clean install of SMF  and installed version 1.2.1 API mod
2.Enter API information for contact list
3.click get characters

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Would expect drop down list of characters on that api account.

Already changed the file permission as advised and updated the api addre
I have checked the API's work and I know its trying to connect to the server as 
at downtime the error changes.
