Kali Nethunter: Sub-process /user/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

After successfully installing Nethunter on my Android 12 phone, I ran the commands

apt update
apt full-upgrade -y

in order to upgrade all of my packages to the newest version. However, after executing the first command without having any trouble, Nethunter stopped with an error shown when running the full-upgrade command.

E: Sub-process /user/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

After that, I was not able to run any command beginning with apt or sudo.
