2 years ago I don't know if you can verify without running a full node, just like BTCR and did:ethr.
The resolution process is the definitive way to get the current DID Document.
It would be good to have some language about cosmos' verifiability guarantees, especially wrt chain state.
I turned this into an issue, as I figure it will be easier for us to discuss exactly what should go in this section
