I think the /esg/config/esgf_endpoints.xml map file can be removed from CoG. The file was needed when we did not have Globus URLs to datasets. Today, if a site enables the 'Globus download' method, the site can add Globus URLs to datasets, so no mappings from gsiftp: to globus: are needed at all.

Implemented and tested directly on esgf-node.jpl.nasa.gov server....
