Player seed always failing

I finished calculating the 2 enchantment seeds, but when I click the "calculate seed" button, it returns "Fail!" every time. I have tried it countless times and made sure to enchant a dummy item every time. I followed the tutorial exactly, but it still fails. I would prefer to not use the fabric mod, as my computer doesn't like to use fabric mods very much. I checked through the other posts about this, but couldn't find anything.

First of all, check that you are not on a PaperMC server (which may include various flavours of Spigot). PaperMC is known to break enchantment cracking and will never be supported. The other most likely cause is doing one of a number of disallowed actions, such as sprinting, eating or being in beacon range. The Enchantment Cracker itself is not able to give any further information, so review the list of disallowed actions and make sure you aren't doing any of them. If you're really stuck, if you're on Minecraft 1.14 or newer you can install clientcommands which is a client-side mod and has a built-in Enchantment Cracker (so no need to use this one), and can give you more detailed information about where you're going wrong. You first have to enable /ctemprule set enchantingPrediction true, then use the built-in Enchantment Cracker in much the same way as you would use this one. Also run /ctemprule set playerRNGMaintenance false for more error catching. This mod requires the Fabric mod loader AND the Fabric API.

I went through the list and didn't do anything listed. I can generate the 2 enchantment seeds fine; it's the player seed that's the problem. I'm doing this on a singleplayer world on an unmodded client.

Did you remember to do a dummy enchant at the start?

Yes. I Dummy enchanted, calculated the first seed, dummy enchanted again, and got the second seed. The other seed is the problem.

Are you sure you are not on a PaperMC server

I am in a singleplayer unmodded world. Unless optifine messes with it, but I don't think it would.

For me this is still an issue, I'm on singleplayer 1.16.5, and I'm not doing anything on the list.

I think I might start requiring that people post a video of them trying to do the enchantment cracking, it's impossible to tell what's going on like this.

hello m having problem on enchcracker because when i want to place torch instead of just obstructing 1 bookshelf it obstructs 3 instead im playing on 1.20

for some reason the cracker fails each time when i use it (with all steps done flawlessly.). i used the calculator but it always says "Fail!" whenever im about to calculate the player seed. i used the commands client and it also says it failed to crack the player seed. im in 1.20.2 i use the 1.20.2 supported version of the commands client ofc and im in a multiplayer server that is unmodded and it doesnt use paper but uses "Purpur" - wich is a replacement for paper - according to the owner when i asked him. help is much appreaciated thank you ^^ I also forgot to mention, the server, according to the owner ofc, is not modded but the client says it is for some odd reason just as i displayed in the image below:

Some people call Paper vanilla, and this is true enough for most casual players when it comes to gameplay, but not true in the technical sense in that it does modify the game. Your server owner may not be aware of this fact.

yea, you could've replaced it with custom server software cause it's easier to understand . that's fine.
