Need to upgrade to Carto Builder. What are implications? #79

On 10.28, @nilesbarnes received an email warning that "as of 11/30/17 your CARTO API Key will be deactivated" if we don't upgrade to Builder.

Same day, I emailed Tyler Bird to see if there's anything special we need to consider since this is a grant-supported application. Haven't heard back yet.

@clhenrick have you had to upgrade from old Carto to Builder before? As I recall from other projects here, we either started in old and haven't moved or started in Builder from the beginning.

Might be as simple as clicking a button, but might also cause changes that affect the app.

@danrademacher I believe that because this is a non-commercial use case for CARTO that the project will be unaffected. That being said, it's good to have reached out to them. From what I've learned via Jeff Ferzoco they are shutting off access to accounts that are abusing their API for commercial uses without paying for it.

This is long sorted -- we got a new API key and Builder working fine
