Restructuring of the front page #35

Currently we have on the front page the 3 "tiles":

Cross-platform, RPG Maker compatible and Get Involved.

When the Deep8 dev made his Player perks video he initially clicked on "CI" and then chose a nightly build from there. This means the page navigation is not obvious at all (the link to the Player downloads is hidden in the "Cross-platform" text.

Maybe these tiles should be changed to advertise our "products" instead, to make downloading them easier:

Player Editor Tools

Assets Showcase Get Involved!

This will also need icons for Tools, Showcase and Get involved though.

Basicly liblcf could be also linked there but I don't want more than 6 tiles to avoid bloat. Additionally liblcf is very specific, only developers will find this useful.

Showcase is for advertising successful projects using EasyRPG (Player), which are games by Netherware and Deep8.

Your opinion?

I posted some suggestions on discord, and fdelapena suggested to post them here, so here they are:

One thing i find confusing to navigate is that Per-topic menu, where everything changes dependending on the page you are in: image image

An initial suggestion is to keep a full page map at the bottom, like on https://www.yoyogames.com/en/gamemaker image

Maybe all those menu could be all the time at the top, with dropdown submenus for the inner categories

There's also the construct page: https://www.construct.net/en

That showcases powerful usage examples on its front page: image

Maybe Nicogaming, YNOnline, RetroArch Support and other stuff could be featured

https://unity.com/ uses its landing page as a Single Paper Sheet, mixing top bar and content. It's kinda cool too: image

Other thing that I don't know if fits, is breaking Media / download / overview on different pages. image

The user's first impulse is to ignore everything they don't understand.

for the page in specific, I'd put for each tool: The title, some screenshots bellow, some Text and a download link

Other suggestion is to mix some of those tools into single tools, like "Game Images Manager", "JSON/XML Tools" or "Map Exporter". But that is other topic.
