on MacOS certain combinations of minimizers with calculators seem to crash the app. We need to investigate and if reproducible, start with disabling those combinations in the GUI

Manual play with various minimizers and engines didn't cause a single crash on my windows workstation.

Simon's stress script runs fine as well.

This issue is not reproducible, at least not on windows.

This is likely solved by modifying the minimizer step size, so the other two calculators actually work.
