Incoming longwave radiation is estimated by estimating clear sky emissivity (as a function of air temperature and humidity) and cloud cover (from incoming short wave radiation compared to clear sky radiation) for all lakes currently. There is more and more longwave radiation data from MeteoSwiss. Maybe this data could be used in the future as input data.
