What steps will reproduce the problem?

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
sometimes not all functions of the joystick is shown
sometimes the joystick just not working

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
windows vista, APM 2.5 board, arducopter 2.8

Please provide any additional information below.

the joystick setup is not stable at all. sometimes working and sometimes not, 
sometimes showing the values and sometimes no value is shown as you move the 
joystick, also my joystick has many buttons.
I initially assigned each button to different flight functions, then in the 
next start ups, the window did not show all the buttons and functions. i tried 
starting many times but it seemed it just works as it pleases.
also in the voice command, i set a joystick button to change the mode to 
'circle' mode. as i pushed the first button, it changed the mode ad also played 
the sound correctly. as i pressed the second button, it changed the mode to 
unknown and the voice also mentioned unknown mode.

so over all, it seems it needs some more work to be stabilized.
