Cleanup use of == true and == false #459

The following patch cleans up boolean checking throughout the code. This is a 
trivial patch, but I think makes the code much more readable.

I like the idea of cleaning up and standardize code, I haven't got time to 
check your patch and merge it into the codebase but I plan to do it in the next 
days.

I found more occurrences of == true and == false to be replaced.

Fixed in rev. 1062.
