This sets up the start of a transition to material design implementation. Several steps still need to be taken to be at least somewhat complete. For these, issues will be made.
Currently, this PR excludes the scrolling actionbar since the support design library doesn't seem to play nice with the SwipeRefreshLayout. If I manage to find a workaround in the future, that will be added as well.
