shorten mission statement to just the first sentence and emphasize openness
rephrase the purpose to be a purpose; pull in content from the previous mission statement

These revisions could probably still use work. I'm trying to make a clearer distinction between the mission statement and purpose and to keep the mission statement shorter.

We should add the following style to align the vertically center the right block:

  display: flex;
  align-items: center;
}

Otherwise, the content is not aligned with the arrow:

Apart from that, I like your revisions 👍🏻 If needed, we could add a "Learn more" button?
